You shot my heart, I fell to deck
You boiled me in the tide
You wrapped me tight around your neck
I'll never leave your side

You broke my beak, you snapped my wings
I could no longer glide
I want what all your ill love brings
I'll never leave your side

Your ship is sinking sweet and fast
And all your friends have died
You tie us to the broken mast
I'll never leave your side

Based on "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Samuel Coleridge and also loosely (VERY) a drabble for this pic: [link]

Something about this reminds me of a shakespere poem we were doing in school. I cant remember what one it is.

Even with the creepy factor to it, it's very lovely.

Sounds like Stockholm Syndrome! But in all seriousness, this is intriguing. You're good at poetry.

I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE.

This is really unsettling. It's quite a creepy subject, a sort of fatal attraction where everything of the two is just completely destroyed in the end. Very intriguing and very, very good. :) Nice!

Thank you. I just really love the imagery of the original poem, so I just tweaked it a bit. :) Thank you very much!
