Original characters: Diana and Noah. I was going to put a drabble of them in the comments, but it's kind of long, so I'm about to upload it as a separate deviation.
So, here's a short rundown. There are two kinds of people in this world: shades and outlines. Shades are people born with color, with healthy glowing skin and bright eyes. Then there are outlines, people who are gray all over. The shades are in the upper class, and the outlines generally live in poverty. Color is considered a luxury, so the outlines can't even afford colorful clothing.
So, this is Noah, a shade, and Diana, an outline, who meet and have an awesome romance. Or something. I don't know a lot about the world or characters at all -- this is just something that popped into my head one day and I tried to flesh it out a little. And yes, I realize I apparently have a thing for colorless, gray-skinned girls (Mina), but whatever. It's just a silly idea I had.

I am so proud of their hair, but I can't color clothing for anything. GAH. XD

You would love the book Shades of Grey by Jasper Fforde. It's a similar premise to this, a hierarchy based on how much color you can see. I just finished it yesterday and its really good.
