Wow.
Yeah. I love it almost as much as Twilight. Not quite as much, simply because I'm sort of in denial that The Host was THAT GOOD. Like, I put it down, and I'm like, "It's probably not as good as I remember it." And then I pick it up again and I'm wowed. Again. If that makes any sense. It exceeded my expectations, let's say that.
I thought it was absolute love. I thought the end could have been cut down a bit. Or something. I mean, I kept waiting for the climax, but then they would solve whatever the problem was in, like, two pages. So it was kind of weird. I was all thrown off by the last 100 pages anyway because... of... what's going on in Wanda's mind. It made me really angry at her.
But it was amazing. Truly.
Best characters:
Wanderer/Wanda. GEEZ, I LOVE HER NICKNAME.
IAN O'FREAKING SHEA. You know what I mean. He is a thousand worlds of bubbly awesome.
Jeb. He was just cool.
Doc. EUSTACE!!!!
Everyone else annoyed me. At least to some extent.
I'm definitely going to read it again.
Look for Host Doodlez.

I can't decide which story I like better. Twilight or The Host? Ian or Edward? Why does Mrs. Meyer create such wonderful fantasies???? XD

O'Shea still rocks though.
Can't wait to see what you draw for the Host!

Ian is on the same level as Jake for me, but Edward's still in a sphere of his own. Sorry, Ian. You might actually beat Jake because you're less annoying. XD
SPOILER WARNING
I read it in like two days. I loved it. Obviously not as much as Twilight because it lacked the awesomeness of Edward and of Jacob, but I still really enjoyed it. I liked Melanie. And I liked Wanda. Ooh, and Doc was cool, Ian was awesome, and I can see Jared being pretty damn schmexy, but Jamie was ultimate love for me. he was so HAPPY!
I cried at the end. I was like NO! NO death to the cool parasite of many worlds! I was sort of annoyed that they put Wanda in such a useless body. I liked having Wanda and Mel in the same body - and after they were split up, like in that whole conclusion bit, Mel only got mentioned as sort of "Oh yeah and Mel and Jared are happy and lovey and snuggly. Just so you know." I was sorta miffed that everyone sort of forgot about mel after she was divided from Wanda.
Still, a fantastic read, and a true tribute to Steph once more. Now ther e is only the eternal wait until Breaking Dawn!

A philosipher once asked, "Do we gaze at the stars because we are human? Or are we human because we gaze at the stars?" Pointless, really. Do the stars gaze back? Now THAT'S a question.
And I like Wanda's new body! I think it suits her.
I guess i just got really used to Wanda being able to DO stuff. Now she's all . . small and squishy. I 'spose Ian's happy though. XP
